JOB TITLE:
Hospitality Manager
REPORTS TO: General Manager

POSITION SUMMARY: 
Oversees the daily operations of PlumpJack Winery’s retail room. These operations can include customer service, sales, inventory control and compliance reporting. Consistently achieves individual sales goals and departmental sales goals which will be set by the General Manager. Implements and reviews tasting room policies and procedures. Supervision of tasting room staff and of the Assistant Manager of PlumpJack Winery. The Manager will also be responsible for coordinating the activities of the tasting room employees to ensure friendly, professional, efficient and courteous service is provided to customers in a positive working environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Ensure excellent customer service by providing information, resolving problems, and answering questions for employees and customers.
  • Maintain product presentation and housekeeping standards in all areas of the PlumpJack Winery and grounds.
  • Providing guidance and motivating employees to achieve peak productivity and performance.
  • Responsible for the training of employees to enhance sales skills and to grow with the company.
  • Communicate any information regarding product, policies, training, sales techniques to tasting room employees.
  • Creates a teamwork environment.
  • Produces thorough and timely paperwork and reports.
  • Ensuring timely opening and closing of PlumpJack Winery. 
  • Responsible for setting an example by being a role model and leader for all tasting room employees.
  • Acts and makes decisions in the best interest of PlumpJack Winery.
  • Ensures and implements all policies and procedures of PlumpJack Winery.
  • Maintain all inventory of wine on a daily and monthly basis.

JOB KNOWLEDGE & EDUCATIONAL LEVEL:
High school diploma or equivalent required.  English fluency required. Cash Register experience preferred.  Serving or bartending experience helpful. Previous supervisory experience preferred.
